**2010 Scholarship for Women Available**

Zonta Club of Bowling Green Area, dedicated to improving the status of women, will provide a maximum of $2,000 scholarship to a woman age 25 years or older.

The award recipient must be a resident of Wood County, Ohio, show financial need, have earned a high school diploma or GED, and be eligible to enroll or already be enrolled in a post-secondary program of study.  Such a program of study may include but is not limited to:

• Four-year University or College
• Two-year College
• Graduate School
• Technical Training
• Massage School
• Cosmetology School
• Other job or career training

The award will be sent directly to the school upon evidence of matriculation (or enrollment).  In the event the award recipient will not spend the entire amount in one semester/quarter/session, Zonta will retain the balance and pay out as needed for the student’s continuation in the program.  The award is restricted to tuition, books and/or school supplies.  For more information about Zonta Club of Bowling Green Area, visit us at www.bgzonta.org.

HOW TO APPLY:

• Obtain a scholarship application packet: 1) at the Wood County District Public Library; or, 2) by emailing BGZonta@gmail.com: or, 3) by writing to Zonta of Bowling Green, Attention: Scholarship Committee, P.O.  Box 745, Bowling Green, OH 43402. 
• Submit completed application and two signed recommendation forms in one of these two ways:  1) by mailing all items noted above (postmarked by March 19, 2010) to: Zonta of Bowling Green, Attention: Scholarship Committee, P.O.  Box 745, Bowling Green, OH 43402; or 2) Emailing your completed application to BGZonta@gmail.com. by 5:00 p.m. on March 19, 2010, and mailing your completed, signed recommendation forms (postmarked by March 19, 2010) to: Zonta of Bowling Green, Attention: Scholarship Committee, P.O.  Box 745, Bowling Green, OH 43402.
