Zonta Club of Bowling Green Service Hours

 

What is a Zonta Service Hour?

 

Zonta International defines “Service Hours” as the time members spend on service projects the club has adopted.

 

“Service Hours” do not include time members spend on projects the club has not adopted, even though these may be consistent with Zonta aims.

 

“Service Hours” do not include time spent on fundraising for local, district or international service projects.

 

Our club considers a “Service Hour” to be:

 

1.   Any time spent on service projects approved by the club.  However, a service hour does not include time   spent as part of one’s job responsibilities or work promoting the church.  Specific service projects sponsored by a church for “outreach” purposes may be counted with approval by the board.

2.   Any time spent preparing or doing work for a committee, including time spent at committee meetings.

3.   Woman to Woman – Time spent supporting other women emotionally or physically.  This time does not include supporting family members or time spent as part of one’s job responsibilities.
